A Word on Taking Up Space: In Honour of the Full Moon in Leo
Life’s too short not to take up space.
Taking up space starts with the body and no longer shrinking as if your existence is an apology.
Your presence, your voice, your gifts, and your energy are enough.
When you become aware of how you carry yourself, you can intentionally shift your energy and presence.
Notice when you feel the urge to shrink or make yourself smaller and practice consciously expanding.
That might mean standing taller, using a stronger voice, or simply taking up more physical space.
Journaling Prompts:
• When do I notice myself shrinking or making myself smaller in situations?
• How does my body feel when I try to take up more space?
• Where do I feel tension in my body and where can I allow myself to relax and expand?
• What does it feel like to stand with my feet firmly planted and my chest open?
If you have learned to shrink for safety or to avoid conflict, this process may feel uncomfortable at first.
Approach it with curiosity and self-compassion rather than force.
Taking up space is not about pushing through at all costs. It is about moving at a pace that feels safe for you.
Taking up space is reclaiming what is already yours.✨
Part of my work in Spirit School is supporting you in taking up more space via the body so your presence, voice, gifts and energy is enough—and shines effortlessly.
I also teach you the tools to sustain this on your own.
