Hello! Turning the heart button red is a free and easy way to support my work. Grateful you’re here <3
By observing the Moon’s movements, you can get a sense of the energy of the day, while tuning into your own intuition, which is associated with the Moon.
Living with and according to the moon can help you find a natural rhythm in life.
In my last article on the New Moon in Leo, I wrote about developing your own relationship with the moon and provided ritual ideas on how to do so if you want to check it out here.
Coming off a new moon yesterday, the moon is beginning to wax. This is a time when the moon begins to gain strength and visibility.
I've vibe-checked each day of the week for you and here's what's happening:
p.s – feel free to connect with me on how you found the energy of the day/week!
Monday 8/5
Luna is mostly void today, making it a great day for doing nothing. What I mean is: activities initiated today may not lead to significant results so I’m suggesting resting and taking breaks instead. Now, notice as you’re reading this how your body responds to the idea of doing nothing—or at least doing less. Pay attention to any physical sensations, such as tension or a sense of relief.
Rest and sleep support deep integration. Rest anchors the connection between your intuition and physical reality. Rest is a spiritual practice, rest is essential, rest is your birthright.
Tuesday 8/6
The Virgo Moon starts the day with a conjunction to Mercury Rx and Venus, which could bring a focus on revisiting old conversations and re-evaluating relationships. It’s a good time to clear up misunderstandings and tidy up any emotional or practical details.
This might look like smoothing things out with a friend, validating your emotions, or reviewing past messages to ensure you didn’t miss any important points. The Moon also spends the day applying to a square with Mars, which can bring up irritability or even overreactions, especially in conversations. Patience and breathing through whatever arises will serve you well today.
Wednesday 8/7
The Moon stays in Virgo all day and opposes Saturn while you’re likely fast asleep and into the morning. This could put a damper on your mood, but the good news is that this challenging aspect is short-lived! A good practice for the day is to write down your tasks and responsibilities, then prioritize them, focusing on what you can control and letting go of what’s beyond your reach. Getting organized can boost your mood and give you a satisfying sense of achievement, but this is not the day for overdoing it.
Rx Mercury and Venus will be conjunct (closely connected), which supports you in your current creative processes.
Thursday 8/8
The Moon enters Libra today and is in conjunction with the South Node. The South Node in astrology is about what we’re moving away from, so while the Moon is in this aspect, you might notice emotions or realizations arising to help you clear out and move away from what no longer serves you. There is no need to take immediate action, as exhaustion is likely today.
Be gentle with yourself and practice your energetic hygiene rituals, such as clearing and cleansing your aura, for extra support. Not sure where to start? I GOT YOU!
Friday 8/9
Venus’ Day starts off with the Moon in Libra making a trine (harmonious aspect) to Mars, providing a much-needed boost of energy to start the day and dive headfirst into creative projects. You could be feeling rather assertive and courageous this morning, so if you have a meeting or project to pitch, this is a great time to channel that confidence. Generally, it’s an ideal moment to take initiative and make things happen.
The Moon forms an exact trine with Jupiter in Gemini around 1:30 p.m. EDT, so anticipate a vibe that feels supportive of your overall well-being and intellectually abundant, encouraging + welcoming curiosity and connections.
Give yourself permission to dream a little bigger today instead of getting caught up in the smaller, insignificant details.
Saturday 8/10
The Libra Moon starts the day with an opposition to Chiron and is approaching a square with Pluto. What might you be given the opportunity to heal? What feelings are coming up for you? Are there resentments that require forgiveness or letting go of? What old timelines still require release? Today is the day to hold a mirror up to your heart and reflect on what aspects of yourself might benefit from some gentle polishing.
The applying square to Pluto could exacerbate intense feelings and any deep-seated fears or power struggles within relationships. Use this opportunity to courageously confront and transform these issues from the inside out by first examining your internal landscape and noticing how any feelings are manifesting in your body. Tune into physical sensations—perhaps tension in your chest or tightness in your stomach—and allow yourself to fully experience and process them. Through mindful breathwork and grounding practices, you can gently release old patterns and nurture healing from within.
The Moon enters the sign of her fall, Scorpio, in the evening.
Sunday 8/11
The Moon spends the early morning approaching a sextile (positive aspect) with Venus, giving a sweet “Sundays are for lovers” vibe. Lovers can also mean whoever you love, by the way; it doesn’t have to be a romantic partner. If you’re the brunch type, plan that with your friends.
If you prefer Sundays spent in bed snuggling with your pet, you’re encouraged to do so. Or maybe you love to clean your space on Sundays while listening to oldies; the Moon’s approaching trine to Saturn supports this too.
Whatever you decide, make space for some self-care as well.
