Today the Moon renews herself in the sign of Taurus and many are likely preparing for a New Moon ritual.
Planting seeds of intention.
Manifesting.
Seeding new dreams.
Hi! I appreciate you taking the time to read this.
Hitting the ♡ button really helps. Grateful you’re here <3
Ancient cultures used Luna’s phases to guide everything from farming to ceremonies.
Her phases were not just observed but integrated into daily life.
The Moon wasn’t a distant symbol but a companion in our rhythms, decisions, and rituals.
Now lunar rituals are often treated like ordering at a cosmic drive-thru:
"I will take clarity, abundance, and a little romance on the side please"
And then back again in a couple of weeks.
This isn’t inherently a bad thing, but it calls into question how we show up relationally.
There is a difference between working with the Moon and being in relationship with her.
Between visiting someone because you love them and showing up only when you want something.
To be in relationship with the Moon, any celestial body, or God-energy, is to listen, not just speak.
To offer, not just ask.
To show up even when you are not sure what you are getting.
That is love.
That is reverence.
That is devotion.
All of which, we could use and practice a little more in all our relationships.
Ancient wisdom teaches that building a relationship with the Moon helps us attune to her rhythms, deepening our intuition by aligning with natural cycles. Regularly observing the Moon’s phases strengthens our connection to our feelings and instincts, allowing us to better understand our emotions and energies as they flow in sync with the lunar cycle.
One of the simplest ways to start building a relationship with the Moon is by consistently looking up at the sky and noticing her. Fully acknowledge her presence.
Another way to develop a relationship with the Moon is to keep a moon journal of your observations, thoughts, and feelings through each of her phases.
Does her fullness mirror amplified emotions or energy?
When she is waning, do you feel called to release?
And if you possess your own bodily cycle, does it sync with hers in unexpected ways?
Pay attention to how you feel at a new moon, full moon, and void moon.
This is how you can begin to recognize your own patterns.
Our bodies are not separate from the starry heavens.
It’s time we remembered that.
